Stage One: Attract New Visitors
This stage deals with a potential new visitor until the moment they walk in the front door. It deals with your presence in the community, any advertising you might do, and whatever else about you might attract new people.

First Steps: The Shortcut Version
Setting up a webpage: If you don’t have a webpage, it is worth investing the time to get one. When I ask new people how they heard of us, internet is quickly becoming the number one answer (this is especially true of younger people and families!). If setting up a webpage sounds as technological and frightening to advertising on the the moon, consider enlisting the help of a youth. You can keep things simple at first—-put the time and location of your services, a picture of your building if you have one (picture, or building!), address and contact info, links to UU sites, and some basic information for newcomers. See http://www.ucsaskatoon.org/FAQ.shtml for a newcomer information page that you can copy (modifying where necessary) to your own site if you wish.
Letting the Neighbourhood know you’re there: Take the initiative to introduce yourself to your neighbours with a leaflet letting them know who you are. Download this pamphlet as a starting point, and modify to suit the needs of your congregation.
