At the 2008 ACM in Ottawa, delegates endorsed an initiative to recognize our responsibility to enhance our democratic and governance processes and propose a new process for resolutions to the Annual Meeting, with the goals of simplifying the process, increasing transparency, and engaging congregations in the process more thoroughly.

At the 2010 ACM in Victoria, delegates approved a Motion on the Resolutions Process and a Motion on Active Democracy.
